Job Full Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support sales operations for a growing building materials company. This role is responsible for assisting customers, generating quotes, processing orders, and building strong relationships with contractors, builders, and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on leads
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and existing customers
- Recommend building material products based on customer needs and project requirements
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and delivery teams to ensure timely fulfillment
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity in company systems
- Assist outside sales representatives with account management and customer support
- Monitor inventory availability and communicate product lead times
- Resolve customer issues and provide excellent service throughout the sales process
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Previous inside sales, customer service, or building materials experience preferred
- Knowledge of construction products, lumber, roofing, drywall, or related materials is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with sales/order entry systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
