Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining punch press machinery to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate punch press machines according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Load materials and adjust machine settings for proper operation.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating punch press equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred
- Experience with CNC punch press machines.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
