Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating punch press machines to produce quality parts according to specifications. No previous experience is required for candidates who possess a good attitude and willingness to learn. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are interested in learning the manufacturing business and offers good growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate punch press equipment to perform piercing, blanking and forming of sheet metal parts safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using gauges and other measuring instruments
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Previous punch press or manufacturing experience preferred but not required, will train motivated candidates
- Ability to read measuring tools and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
