Job Summary: Office Furniture Delivery Driver/Installer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver / Installer to join our office furniture team. This role involves delivering furniture to commercial job sites and offices, assisting with setup and installation, and reading construction plans to ensure accurate placement and configuration. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, customer-focused, and able to work independently or with a team on installation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicle to deliver office furniture to customer locations.
- Load and unload furniture while ensuring proper handling and damage prevention.
- Assemble and install office furniture (desks, cubicles, chairs, cabinets, etc.) according to manufacturer instructions and layout plans.
- Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and construction documents to ensure accurate placement of furniture.
- Work with project managers, contractors, and clients on-site to complete installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and workspace.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and resolve any issues with missing or damaged items.
- Follow company safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience with furniture delivery and installation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and floor plans.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic hand tool knowledge.
- MUST have flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Type: Full Time Temp to Perm
Pay: $20.00-$22.00
Schedule: 7am-5pm Must be flexible with schedule some nights and weekends may be needed
