Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full-Time Opportunity
Location: Fort Myers, FL

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a busy and well-established medical office in Fort Myers to hire an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time, permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected healthcare team in a supportive and professional environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 40 hours per week

  • Must have flexibility to stay later if needed

Pay Rate:

  • $17.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts and review medical histories

  • Greet and room patients in a timely and professional manner

  • Print, scan, and manage patient documentation and medical records

  • Obtain authorizations for prescriptions and medical procedures

  • Process prescription refills accurately

  • Assist with clinical and administrative tasks as needed

Detailed Duties Will Include:

  • Preparing charts for next-day appointments

  • Updating and maintaining digital client records; assist in converting paper records to digital format

  • Printing providers’ daily schedules

  • Rooming patients; recording vital signs, weight, and updates to medical history

  • Creating provider orders accurately and efficiently

  • Returning patient calls

  • Printing and reviewing hospital records

  • Scanning test results for provider review

  • Handling and responding to critical lab alerts

  • Triaging incoming electronic communications (labs, imaging, etc.)

  • Reviewing and managing the task box daily

  • Processing prescription refills

  • Sending out pending test result letters

  • Conducting phone triage

  • Organizing and maintaining medical supplies inventory

  • Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to appointments

  • Coding and assisting with insurance form completion

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required

  • Prior experience working as a CMA in a clinical setting

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented

  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to high-quality patient care
