Machine Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Industry: Machine Shop – Custom Wire Manufacturing for Industrial & Medical Devices
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Pay: $20.00/hour
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Pay: $20.80/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking Machine Operators to join a growing machine shop that manufactures custom wire components for machines and medical devices. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in learning skilled trades—no prior experience required; we will train the right candidates!
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and follow documented processes.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety, conduct, and attendance standards.
- Follow assigned work schedules and production sequences to meet daily goals.
- Accurately enter data into production systems.
- Inspect products, materials, and machines for defects or irregularities.
- Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Follow all job orders, specifications, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk for extended periods (entire shift).
- Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs safely.
- Use hands and arms for pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, and handling materials.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
