Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Technician
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift (Hours vary between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler Technician to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality fuel filters. In this role, you will assemble, test, and inspect fuel filtration systems to ensure they meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with assembly processes, and the ability to work precisely with tools and technical drawings in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly: Build fuel filters, components, and sub-assemblies following engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Tool Operation: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment to align, fit, and secure mechanical parts.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished assemblies for accuracy and defects; ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Testing: Conduct performance and functionality tests on assembled products to confirm operation under required conditions.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and correct mechanical issues during assembly, collaborating with supervisors and engineers as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete production and quality reports, including checklists, test logs, and inventory tracking forms.
- Safety: Follow all company safety rules and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to continuously improve assembly processes and product performance.
Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Skilled in construction of wiring harnesses and plug assemblies
- Experience testing and verifying assembled components
- Capable of performing inventory counts and maintaining parts organization
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
