Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to join the Accounting Department at a fire safety service company in Fort Myers, FL. This role is essential in managing incoming cash flow by ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and professional management of customer accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $18–$22/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities

Account Maintenance: Update and maintain customer account information, document detailed notes to track collection activity, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Collections & Follow-Up: Review accounts receivable aging reports, contact customers via phone, email, and U.S. mail regarding overdue balances, negotiate payment plans when necessary, and distribute monthly customer statements.

Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare and utilize AR aging reports and assist with month-end close procedures.

Dispute Resolution: Research and resolve billing discrepancies, collaborate with sales and operations teams, analyze account issues, and implement effective solutions.

Customer Service: Maintain positive customer relationships while enforcing payment policies, addressing billing inquiries, and communicating clearly with internal teams and external clients.

System Management: Utilize accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and Excel for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.

Payment Processing: Accurately process customer payments as needed.
Requirements

1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with familiarity in accounting systems and billing processes preferred

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment
