Job Title: Finance and Accounting Specialist
Pay: $24/hour
Location: Cape Coral, FL
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Specialist to manage a variety of accounting and financial operations for a growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processing
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain organized accounting files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Assist in implementing financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Stay current on accounting regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in full charge bookkeeping or accounting required, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus
