Human Resources Generalist
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a valued client in Fort Myers. This position will support daily Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR record management.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions while providing excellent support to employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Source, screen, and interview candidates
- Coordinate interviews and hiring activities
- Manage job postings and applicant tracking
- Partner with hiring managers to support staffing needs
Onboarding & Employee Integration
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Prepare employment documentation and personnel files
- Ensure completion of required onboarding paperwork
- Support employee transition into the organization
Employee Relations & Culture
- Respond to employee questions and concerns
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives
- Support conflict resolution and workplace investigations
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
Performance Management & Development
- Assist with performance evaluation processes
- Support employee training and development programs
- Maintain employee performance records
- Help coordinate recognition and retention initiatives
Benefits, Compensation & HR Administration
- Assist with benefits enrollment and administration
- Maintain HRIS and employee records
- Support compensation-related reporting
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date personnel documentation
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Support HR policy implementation and updates
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements
- Handle confidential information with discretion
Leave Administration
- Process and track leave requests
- Assist with FMLA and related leave programs
- Maintain accurate leave records and documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous Human Resources experience
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations
- Strong understanding of HR practices and compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification
- Benefits administration and leave management experience
