Patient Service Representative (Part-Time)
Location: Bonita Springs, FL
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM, with occasional Friday coverage as needed.
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Part-Time Patient Service Representative on behalf of a well-established medical practice in Bonita Springs. We are seeking a professional, dependable individual with exceptional patient service skills and strong hands-on experience using Athena (athenahealth) EMR.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Some Fridays as needed
Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and out in a friendly, professional manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Verify insurance information and patient demographics
- Process patient registrations and maintain accurate medical records
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Utilize Athena (athenahealth) to manage patient information, appointments, and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Support providers and clinical staff with front office administrative tasks
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of recent Patient Service Representative or Medical Front Desk experience
- Must be fully proficient and comfortable using Athena (athenahealth) EMR
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and insurance verification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused
