Job Title: Wash Plant Heavy Equipment Operator
Location: On-Site
Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
Position Type: Full-Time (First Shift / Overtime Available)
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee daily material processing at our concrete ready-mix facility. You will operate front-end loaders and excavators to feed the aggregate wash plant, maintain stock piles, load hoppers, and keep plant operations running efficiently without downtime.
Key Responsibilities

Safe operation of large front-end loaders and excavators to move, feed, and manage sand, gravel, and crushed stone.

Feed raw aggregate materials directly into wash plant hoppers and screening equipment.

Monitor wash plant production lines for consistent material flow, water management, and silt accumulation.

Clear material blockages, manage tailing ponds/reclaim pits, and maintain clean stockpile yards.

Perform pre-shift and post-shift walkaround inspections (fluids, grease points, tracks/tires, safety controls).

Coordinate closely with the Plant Batch Man and yard personnel to align with daily production schedules.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years operating front-end wheel loaders and excavators in a aggregate quarry, mining, sand pit, or ready-mix environment.

Knowledge: Familiarity with aggregate wash plants, screening systems, and material gradation handling.

Safety & Standards: Strict adherence to OSHA and MSHA site safety standards.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, climb equipment ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Certifications: Valid driver's license required; MSHA training certification is a plus.
