Job Title: Safety Manager

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team and uphold our high standards of safety and compliance.
Job Summary: The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across all facilities. This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Pay Starts at $30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and orientation to employees at all levels.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
- Work closely with Human Resources for workers' compensation claims and you will coordinate return-to-work programs and/or duty restrictions.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety into operational processes.
- Maintain safety documentation, including OSHA logs, inspection reports, and training records, etc.
- Stay current with our industry’s best practices and regulatory changes.
- Monitor cameras on our Truck Fleet and record/report any negative driving instances.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in safety management within a construction manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Certification in OSHA 30-Hour, OSHA 10-Hour preferred but not required.
- Commercial Vehicle Driving Regulations and DOT Regulations required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain).
- Experience with powered industrial equipment safety and forklift training (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform site inspections in industrial environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and use necessary safety and inspection equipment.
- Comfortable with occasional extended periods at a desk or computer.
- Willingness to travel regionally is required bi-annually.
