Experienced Plumbing Office Scheduler / Dispatcher

Location: Ocala, FL
Pay Rate: $20.00–$25.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:00 PM (45-hour workweek)
Overtime: Voluntary and available

 

About the Role

A respected local plumbing and construction company in Ocala is seeking a skilled Office Scheduler / Dispatcher to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, industry experience, and a high level of attention to detail. You’ll be responsible for coordinating schedules, dispatching field staff, and maintaining accurate records using various software platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch plumbing/construction crews efficiently
  • Communicate with customers and team members via phone, email, text, and in person
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Upload and manage job details, timelines, and updates
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet daily operational needs
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, organization, and professionalism

 

Software Experience:

  • QuickBooks Online
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Drive

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of scheduling/dispatch experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in the plumbing industry (must understand all phases of plumbing)
  • At least 1 year of experience in new construction or core skilled trades (subcontractor or general contractor)
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute with minimal errors
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
  • Must pass a drug test and background check
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrates honesty, fairness, and respect toward customers and team members
