Materials Manager Assistant (Inventory/Data Entry)
Location: Ocala, FL
Pay Rate: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
- 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- or 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Manager Assistant to support our materials Manager with data entry, inventory tracking, and daily materials-related operations. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working on a computer while also being willing to assist with physical inventory counts both indoors and outdoors as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Materials Manager with daily administrative and inventory-related tasks
- Perform accurate data entry related to inventory, materials, and purchasing
- Conduct inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock verifications as needed
- Update and maintain inventory records within the ERP system
- Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Generate reports related to inventory levels and materials usage
- Support purchasing, production, and warehouse teams with materials data
- Assist with audits and inventory control processes
- Maintain documentation for materials and inventory procedures
- Follow established workflows and contribute to process improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable working both in an office environment and in inventory/storage areas
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must have 1-2 years in inventory tracking with an ERP system.
Experience
- Prior experience with inventory management and materials
- ERP system experience is required (Epicore experience preferred but not required)
