Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist
Location: Ocala, FL
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
A busy, high-end retail store is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Accounting Department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong Excel skills, and is eager to continue learning and growing within an accounting environment.
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will support daily AP functions, including invoice processing, data entry, and vendor payments. The company will provide training on their accounting and inventory software, but candidates must be comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office in a retail-based system.
Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely

Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation

Enter invoices promptly to ensure vendor discounts are applied when available

Perform data entry, filing, and basic math (adding/subtracting)

Maintain accurate records and ensure attention to detail in all entries

Assist with general accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications

2–5 years of prior Accounts Payable experience required

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel required)

Comfortable learning new accounting and inventory software

Enjoys working with numbers and data

Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn
