Job Full Description
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Assistant Plant Operator to support daily operations at a mining/industrial plant. This role involves equipment operation, basic mechanical tasks, quality control, and routine inspections to help ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including plant loader and skid steer
Take accurate silo measurements and maintain detailed production logs
Conduct material quality control testing
Assist with minor mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
Safely load and dispatch dust trucks from the plant
Perform regular operational and safety checks across the plant
Complete lubrication routes and monitor equipment performance
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in mining, construction, or industrial plant operations preferred
Skilled in operating loaders, skid steers, or similar machinery
Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve equipment issues
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
Physically capable of working in outdoor, demanding environments
High school diploma or equivalent required
