Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, trucks, and similar machinery

  • Perform major repairs, component replacements, and equipment overhauls as required

  • Troubleshoot system failures, identify root causes, and restore equipment to safe operating condition

  • Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation and safety compliance

Preventative Maintenance

  • Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, filter replacement, fluid checks, and system inspections

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify wear or potential failures before breakdowns occur

  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance intervals

  • Follow established maintenance schedules and safety procedures

Operational Support

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime

  • Assist with equipment setup, testing, and commissioning after repairs or modifications

  • Communicate with operators and supervisors to diagnose equipment concerns

  • Provide recommendations to improve reliability, safety, and equipment life

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, forklifts, trucks, or industrial machinery

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting

  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals

  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an industrial environment

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Welding or fabrication experience

  • Diesel engine experience

  • ASE, forklift, or equipment certifications

Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving

  • Electrical troubleshooting (low and high voltage systems)

  • Hydraulic diagnostics

  • Preventive maintenance planning

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
