Job Full Description
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
-
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, trucks, and similar machinery
-
Perform major repairs, component replacements, and equipment overhauls as required
-
Troubleshoot system failures, identify root causes, and restore equipment to safe operating condition
-
Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation and safety compliance
Preventative Maintenance
-
Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, filter replacement, fluid checks, and system inspections
-
Monitor equipment performance and identify wear or potential failures before breakdowns occur
-
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance intervals
-
Follow established maintenance schedules and safety procedures
Operational Support
-
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
-
Assist with equipment setup, testing, and commissioning after repairs or modifications
-
Communicate with operators and supervisors to diagnose equipment concerns
-
Provide recommendations to improve reliability, safety, and equipment life
Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, forklifts, trucks, or industrial machinery
-
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting
-
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
-
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
-
Valid driver’s license required
-
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an industrial environment
Preferred (Not Required):

Welding or fabrication experience
-
Diesel engine experience
-
ASE, forklift, or equipment certifications
Skills

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving

Electrical troubleshooting (low and high voltage systems)

Hydraulic diagnostics

Preventive maintenance planning

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
