Location: Ocala, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00 – $22.00/hr

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and paying a company’s bills and invoices accurately and on time. You will reconcile statements, manage vendor relationships, resolve discrepancies, and maintain detailed financial records. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify expense reports and invoices; reconcile reports with account balances and office records.
- Facilitate vendor payments, including verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Process weekly check runs and ensure timely payments.
- Credit outstanding obligations upon payment and identify discount opportunities.
- Issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Reconcile monthly statements and transactions; assist with accounting records and ledgers.
- Manage petty cash documentation and distribution.
- Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn accounting software programs like QuickBooks or SAP.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle sensitive financial data, and meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and familiarity with federal and state accounting regulations.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day.
- Ability to occasionally lift materials up to 20 pounds, reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Visual acuity for reviewing documents and prolonged computer use.
Working Conditions
- Professional office environment with occasional entry into manufacturing or warehouse areas.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE when in production areas.
