Job Full Description
Job Summary:
The Printing Press Assistant supports the press operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing press equipment. This role is responsible for preparing materials, maintaining press supplies, ensuring print quality, and keeping the production area clean and organized. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm; Monday - Friday
Pay: $17.00
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the press operator with setup and operation of printing press machines

Load paper, inks, plates, and other materials into the press

Monitor print jobs to ensure quality standards and specifications are met

Inspect printed materials for defects such as smudging, misalignment, or color issues

Help adjust machine settings under the direction of the press operator

Maintain a clean and organized work area around the press equipment
-
Remove finished products and prepare them for the next stage of production

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of press equipment

Track materials and notify supervisors when supplies are low

Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:

Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, or production environments is a plus

Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with machinery

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Good communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks

Comfortable working around machinery and in a production environment
