Full Charge Bookkeeper

Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations in Ocala, FL. This role is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online.
The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller to manage day-to-day accounting activities and assist with month-end close processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage a large volume of transactions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks using QuickBooks Online
- Post and reconcile credit card transactions
- Record journal entries, including accrued expenses and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process daily deposits and vendor bill entry
- Track and record sales tax transactions
- Support month-end close activities
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records
- Handle a high volume of transactions (100+ orders per day)
- Ensure accuracy across multiple product line items
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (mid-level preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with journal entries, AP/AR, and high-volume transaction processing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort with accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or product-based industries
