Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations in Ocala, FL. This role is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online.

The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller to manage day-to-day accounting activities and assist with month-end close processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage a large volume of transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting tasks using QuickBooks Online
  • Post and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Record journal entries, including accrued expenses and cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Process daily deposits and vendor bill entry
  • Track and record sales tax transactions
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Handle a high volume of transactions (100+ orders per day)
  • Ensure accuracy across multiple product line items

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (mid-level preferred)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience with journal entries, AP/AR, and high-volume transaction processing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort with accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or product-based industries
