Procurement Coordinator
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
- Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (9-hour workdays)
- Friday: 7:00 AM-4:00PM - One Friday worked (8 hours) and the alternating Friday off
Requirements:
- Must have 2-4 years of supply chain, procurement, buyer experience.
- This company deals with government contracts so you must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to produce verification of citizenship with a certified copy of your birth certificate.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- SAP/ERP/MRP experience preferred.
About the Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to join a growing procurement program supporting major customer operations in the aerospace and defense industry. This is a fast-paced, highly transactional role where you will manage the purchasing process from sourcing and supplier quotes through purchase order execution, delivery, and quality receipt. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–4 years of procurement or supply chain experience who understands how materials move through the supply chain and enjoys working directly with suppliers and customers.
What You'll Do
- Source suppliers and products based on customer requirements.
- Contact suppliers, request and evaluate quotes, and negotiate pricing and lead times.
- Create and execute purchase orders with suppliers.
- Manage purchase requisitions from initial request through final delivery.
- Maintain direct communication with suppliers throughout the purchasing process.
- Track orders and ensure suppliers meet required ship dates.
- Verify pricing, documentation, quality requirements, and delivery information.
- Submit supplier quotes and purchasing information through SAP.
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to obtain approvals and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Monitor purchasing metrics and performance.
- Manage multiple purchase orders and line items simultaneously.
- Follow applicable government regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), customer contracts, and quality requirements.
What We're Looking For
- 1–4 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience preferred.
- Candidates with under 3 years of experience may qualify at $22–$24/hour.
- Direct procurement or supply chain experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing mechanics.
- Experience working with suppliers and obtaining competitive quotes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with purchasing, ERP, or supply chain software; SAP experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Industry Experience
Industry background is flexible. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, aerospace, defense, or another supply-chain environment is transferable. The most important factor is understanding the purchasing and supplier-management process.

You will not physically handle the products. Your role is focused on procurement, supplier management, purchasing, documentation, and ensuring materials are delivered to the customer's required location and specifications.

Training & Onboarding
- Candidates will complete a Predictive Index assessment to help evaluate work style and how they operate independently and within a team.

- Initial onboarding and training may take several weeks.
- Training includes onboarding, introductions, classroom/virtual training, and shadowing experienced team members.
- Customer-issued laptop and system access may take several weeks during the onboarding process.
- Candidates must successfully complete the required I-9 and background/clearance process.
- A hard copy of required identification documentation must be provided for verification.
