Procurement Coordinator

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (9-hour workdays)
  • Friday: One Friday worked (8 hours) and the alternating Friday off

Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Previous procurement or purchasing/buying experience.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement Department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a process-driven role. The successful candidate will support procurement operations by sourcing materials, coordinating purchases, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's procurement policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Source products, create purchase orders, and coordinate deliveries while working closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate pricing and transaction processing.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers within approved procurement systems.
  • Support the development of procurement plans that align with organizational goals and operational needs.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations, including pricing and turnaround times.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, customer contracts, and statements of work.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and tracking procurement performance metrics.
  • Manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely and efficient purchasing operations.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing and supply chain.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with purchasing or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
