Burn Table Operator (CNC Plasma / Oxy-Fuel)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00 / hour
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday

We’re looking for a dependable Burn Table Operator to join our production team and keep our steel cutting operations running smoothly.
Position Overview
As a Burn Table Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC plasma and/or oxy-fuel cutting tables to cut steel plate into precise parts for trailer frames, hitches, crossmembers, and brackets. You’ll play a critical role in the first stage of our manufacturing process, ensuring our welders and assemblers have high-quality, accurately cut components.
Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Load material, set up, and operate CNC plasma/oxy-fuel burn tables.

Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, and nested layouts to ensure accurate cutting.

Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and protractors to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts to move heavy steel plates and cut parts.

Part Finishing: Deburr, grind, and slag parts as needed to ensure clean edges for welding.

Routine Maintenance: Perform daily operator maintenance (cleaning torch tips, replacing consumables, slag removal from table).

Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly adhere to all company safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 1+ years operating CNC plasma or oxy-fuel burn tables (experience in structural steel or trailer manufacturing preferred).

Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, cut sheets, and shop drawings.

Equipment: Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts preferred.

Tools: Proficient with tape measures, calipers, grinders, and hand tools.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a shop environment, and regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
