Investor Reporting Specialist
Location: Ocala, FL
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Position Overview
A growing mortgage servicing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Investor Reporting Specialist to support the accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity of its servicing portfolio.
This position is responsible for preparing and submitting investor reports, processing cash and non-cash transactions, reconciling custodial accounts, resolving reporting exceptions, and ensuring all reporting activities comply with investor requirements and servicing agreements.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, enjoys working with numbers and data, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment where accuracy is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Reporting & Remittance
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely investor reports for agency and private investors.
- Ensure reporting activities comply with servicing agreements and investor guidelines.
- Process cash and non-cash transactions within the servicing system.
- Prepare wire requests and support remittance activities.
- Assist with daily, monthly, and year-end investor reporting functions.
Reconciliations & Analysis
- Reconcile custodial accounts and identify discrepancies.
- Research and resolve reconciling items within required timeframes.
- Monitor daily cash activity, transfers, and account balances.
- Analyze loan-level exceptions and reporting variances.
- Prepare and post general ledger entries as required.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Maintain compliance with investor reporting requirements and servicing guidelines.
- Assist with internal audits, investor reviews, and external audit requests.
- Gather documentation and support audit-ready reporting processes.
- Ensure reporting and reconciliation activities are completed accurately and timely.
Credit Reporting & Operational Support
- Submit borrower credit reporting files to credit bureaus.
- Research and respond to disputes through E-Oscar.
- Partner with internal departments to resolve reporting and accounting discrepancies.
- Support testing of servicing system updates and reporting enhancements.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain departmental procedures, job aids, and process documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Participate in special projects and departmental initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within Investor Reporting and Cashiering operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in:
- Mortgage servicing
- Investor reporting
- Accounting
- Financial operations
- Reconciliations
- Experience with custodial account reconciliations and remittance processing.
- Familiarity with agency and private investor reporting requirements.
- Experience with servicing platforms such as FICS Mortgage Servicer or similar systems.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Excel, including:
- Formulas
- Lookup functions
- Pivot tables
- Data analysis
- Financial reporting and reconciliations
- General ledger entries and balancing activities
- Servicing system reporting tools
