FRP Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 (Based on experience)
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced FRP Manufacturing Operator to perform fiberglass and composite manufacturing processes, including lay-up, resin application, curing, trimming, finishing, and gel coat spraying.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds and perform fiberglass lay-up and resin application
- Trim, finish, and inspect finished products
- Follow work orders, build specifications, and production schedules
- Safely handle fiberglass, resins, gel coat, and production equipment
- Identify and report defects or production issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience with boat manufacturing, bathtub manufacturing, autobody repair or similar fiberglass/composites environments required.
- 2+ years of fiberglass and/or gel coat spraying experience is preferred
- 1–3+ years of manufacturing or composites experience preferred
- Ability to read work instructions and use basic measuring tools
- Ability to safely work with chemicals and required PPE, including respirators as applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift
- Comfortable working around dust, odors, and temperature changes
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates full proficiency across all FRP processes
- Troubleshoots production issues and supports process improvements
- Leads by example in safety, quality, and efficiency
- Assists with cross-training and serves as a floor resource
