Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a multi-building campus. This position is responsible for ensuring the facilities and grounds are maintained to a high standard, are secure, and are ready for use for all scheduled activities and events. The role includes direct supervision of maintenance and custodial staff, as well as managing vendor relationships and supporting long-term facilities planning.


Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Operations Management

  • Oversee maintenance and custodial staff and delegate tasks based on event and operational needs

  • Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance, coordinate emergency repairs

  • Ensure cleanliness, functionality, and safety of all interior and exterior areas

  • Manage security protocols and respond to alarms or safety incidents as needed

  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and related building systems

  • Track and manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment

  • Coordinate event setup including room layouts, furnishings, and basic A/V needs

Administrative & Leadership Duties

  • Maintain maintenance records, vendor contracts, and work orders

  • Create and manage a maintenance calendar for preventative and scheduled repairs

  • Assist in preparing budgets related to building and grounds maintenance

  • Work closely with leadership on long-term planning for capital improvements

  • Participate in regular meetings and collaborate with staff and volunteer teams

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and safety standards


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related field

  • Working knowledge of building systems and ability to perform minor repairs

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with technology-based systems

  • Available for on-call needs, emergency response, and occasional evening/weekend events

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions
