Location: Vero Beach, FL (Regional Travel Required)

Salary: $30-$40/Hr BOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 90% overnight travel required

About the Opportunity:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and motivated DAS Installation Lead Technician for a long-term, growth-focused opportunity with a leading in-building wireless solutions provider. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for leading the installation and testing of DAS, ERCES, LTE, and Wi-Fi systems across commercial, healthcare, educational, and public infrastructure facilities.

This position requires extensive travel, Monday through Friday, with most work performed on-site at client locations throughout Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily installation activities for DAS, ERCES, LTE, and Wi-Fi systems.

  • Supervise crews and subcontractors in cabling, equipment mounting, grounding, and testing.

  • Interpret and validate work against engineered drawings and system specifications.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant job sites at all times.

  • Support system commissioning with tools such as PCTEL SeeHawk, iBwave Prism, Anritsu, and Fluke.

  • Coordinate with project managers and commissioning engineers on system turn-up and testing.

  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior technicians and subcontractors.

  • Document daily activities, site photos, redlines, and closeout packages.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, AHJs, and contractors on-site.

  • Escalate material shortages, delays, and safety issues to project leadership.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in DAS, BDA, LTE, or low-voltage system installation.

  • Must obtain FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) within 180 days of hire.

  • Proficient with SeeHawk, iBwave Prism, and commissioning tools.

  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

  • NICET Level I required; Level II preferred (DAS, Fire Alarm, or Low Voltage).

  • iBwave Level 1 certification required; Level 2 preferred.

  • First Aid / CPR certification preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret system schematics, riser diagrams, and iBwave designs.

  • Experience working in secure facilities (schools, hospitals, government) strongly preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • Manufacturer training from ADRF, Comba, JMA, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of post-installation testing and signal optimization techniques.

  • Understanding of Class A/B fire alarm wiring and interface codes.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Willingness to travel out of town Monday through Friday, including overnight stays (90% travel).

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, and work in varying outdoor/indoor environments.

  • Familiarity with coaxial and fiber cabling installation and termination.

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
