Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of HR operations for a dynamic, multi-state organization. This standalone role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage policies, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and organizational development.
This position supports a diverse workforce that includes remote employees across various states, in-office teams in FL and TN, and a studio-based team in Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
General HR Leadership

Serve as the primary HR contact across the company.

Align HR strategies and practices with business goals.

Develop and maintain compliant, consistent HR policies and documentation.

Foster a culture of respect, transparency, and accountability.
Recruitment & Onboarding

Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts from sourcing through onboarding.

Implement equitable, structured hiring practices.

Conduct orientations and onboarding programs that reinforce company culture and values.
Employee Relations & Engagement

Provide confidential coaching and support to employees and managers.

Address performance or conduct concerns professionally and fairly.

Support initiatives that enhance employee wellbeing and retention.
Compliance, Benefits & Payroll

Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and leave policies.

Ensure accurate payroll processing in partnership with Finance.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Oversee HRIS systems and employee records management.
Performance Management & Development

Coordinate annual performance review cycles and support continuous feedback practices.

Assist in professional development planning and training programs.

Promote a performance-driven culture rooted in wellness and growth.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required)

Minimum 5 years of generalist HR experience, including employee relations, compliance, and benefits

Strong knowledge of employment law and best HR practices

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Proven ability to work independently, handle sensitive situations, and manage competing priorities

Experience with HRIS and payroll software is required

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is preferred
