Seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our client’s team. In this role, you will support veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients while ensuring a positive experience for pet owners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-focused, and passionate about animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during exams and surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, etc.)
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs
- Safely restrain animals for procedures and examinations
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate clients on pet care, nutrition, and preventative health
- Perform IV catheterization and take dental and standard X-rays
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
- Experience with surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, lab procedures, and client education
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- CVT or RVT preferred (relevant experience considered)
