Receiving Clerk / Stand up Forklift Operator – 1st Shift
Express Employment Professionals, Atlanta NE location has an immediate opening for an experienced Receiving Clerk with 3 years of Stand-up forklift experience and computer experience.
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for Receiving Product on a Stand-up Forklift and material handling operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient distribution of products.
Duties:
Receiving & Order Fulfillment
- Unload and Inspect: Safely unload freight from trucks and check for damaged or missing merchandise
- Verify Paperwork: Compare delivery contents with bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Record and Track: Enter receipt data into inventory management software and print or apply barcode labels/tags.
- Organize Stock: Stage and route inventory to appropriate warehouse storage zones.
- Resolve Issues: Report discrepancies or damaged goods to vendors and supervisors.
Systems & Documentation
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., NAV) to process receiving transactions
- Maintain accurate records of receiving, inventory movements, and discrepancies
- Report and resolve receiving or inventory issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience in Receiving
- 3 years of experience operating a Stand-Up forklift (Certified)
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
Technical Skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, inventory systems)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Able to pass a background and drug test.
