Express Employment is seeking a hardscape laborer. If you enjoy working outdoors on property improvement projects then this is a great opportunity for you. Work with a team of skilled laborers creating and improving landscapes and hardscapes of homes and businesses.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm
Job Description
As a Hardscaper you are supporting the installation and construction of outdoor features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and driveways. This role involves preparing job sites, moving materials, operating basic tools and equipment, and assisting skilled crew members with layout and installation tasks. Responsibilities include digging, grading, compacting soil, setting pavers or stone, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and a strong attention to detail. Prior construction or landscaping experience is needed.
Requirements
1. Prior experience in landscaping and or hardscaping
2. Ability to work well within a team
3. Ability to lift up to 50lbs
4. Prior experience with power tools and the ability to read a measuring tape.
5. Prior concrete experience is preferred, but not required.
6. Ability to take direction, follow up, and coaching in the moment.
7. Basic math and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Typical Work Environment
- Setting: Residential backyards, commercial plazas, and public parks.
- Schedule: Full-time, often involving 8–10-hour shifts and seasonal overtime.
