HVAC / Refrigeration Maintenance Technician
Commercial Restaurant Equipment | Multi-Location Service
Pay: $30/hour
Schedule: Full Time | Day Shift
Location: Lewiston, ID
A well-established hospitality group operating multiple restaurants, hotels, and catering facilities is seeking an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to support equipment and facility maintenance across several locations.
This role is responsible for servicing commercial HVAC systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, kitchen equipment, and general facility systems. We are looking for someone with strong troubleshooting ability who can work independently and respond to maintenance requests across multiple locations throughout the valley and Moscow.
This is a hands-on position for an experienced technician. Candidates must have experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems and be comfortable diagnosing issues without extensive supervision.
What You’ll Do

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across restaurant, warehouse, and catering locations

Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, ventilation systems, and thermostats

Service and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-in coolers, freezers, prep tables, reach-in coolers, and ice machines

Repair and maintain restaurant kitchen equipment including fryers, ovens, grills, dish machines, and exhaust systems

Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues impacting restaurant operations

Respond to maintenance requests and service calls from operations teams and managers

Conduct routine facility inspections to identify potential equipment failures

Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory

Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are needed

Travel between company locations to complete service calls and preventative maintenance
What We’re Looking For

Experience with commercial HVAC systems (rooftop units, split systems, ventilation)

Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, coolers, freezers)

Experience servicing restaurant or commercial kitchen equipment preferred

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose problems independently

Experience completing maintenance work orders and service requests

Comfortable working across multiple facilities and responding to urgent repairs
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
-
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
Important: This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking someone with prior experience who can step in and contribute immediately.
