Lumber Production Operator - Lewiston, ID
Hiring Urgently
Pay: $23.92/hr (Day) - $25.92/hr (Swing/Grave)
Shifts:
Day 5 AM–1 PM
Swing 4 PM–12 AM
Grave 8 PM–5 AM (New hires are strongly preferred for Graveyard)
About the Work
This is a high‑tech lumber mill environment. You’ll be working around large automated equipment that turns raw logs into finished lumber. It’s physical, repetitive, safety‑focused work where you stay moving and stay alert.
What You’ll Do

Operate machinery and equipment to keep lumber moving through the production line

Monitor conveyors, scanners, saws, stackers, and automated systems

Inspect boards for defects and sort or feed them into the next machine

Clear small jams, make basic adjustments, and keep your station running smoothly

Communicate with team members before/after your station to keep the line in sync

Rotate through multiple positions and learn all major areas of green‑lumber production

Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and machine‑awareness protocols
Must‑Have Skills

Heavy lifting ability — up to 50 lbs repeatedly

Comfort with physical, repetitive work

Attention to detail + basic math

Strong commitment to quality control
Experience Needed
No mill experience required. This is entry level. You must have a physical work background (construction, warehouse, farming, labor, production, etc.). Experience in loud, dusty, or fast‑paced environments is a big plus!
