Certified Medical Coder – REMOTE | 90–120 Day Project
Location: Remote – Pacific Time Zone Preferred
Pay: $23.00–$40.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time
Assignment Length: Temporary, 90–120 Days
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Certified Medical Coder for a temporary, 90–120-day remote project supporting a hospital-based revenue cycle team in Colfax, WA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled medical coding professional seeking a short-term assignment with competitive compensation and the flexibility to work remotely. The ideal candidate will bring strong inpatient and outpatient coding experience, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Position Responsibilities

Review medical records and clinical documentation to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.

Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Collaborate with healthcare providers and revenue cycle staff to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies.

Support timely and accurate billing and reimbursement processes.
Qualifications
-
CPC, CCS, or equivalent professional coding certification.

Previous hospital or healthcare coding experience required.

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

Experience with EPIC highly preferred.

Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare environment is highly valued.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and contribute immediately to a short-term project.
Remote Work Requirements
This is a fully remote assignment.

Must be available to participate in virtual meetings as needed.

Candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone (PT) are preferred.

Must maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the hospital's coding and revenue cycle teams.
