Yard Jockey / Spotter
Beardstown, IL | Full-Time | 40+ hours
Express Employment is looking for safe, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join a team in the Beardstown area as a Yard Jockey / Spotter.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Move trailers (full or empty) to and from dock doors
-
Communicate with dispatch and warehouse management to coordinate trailer movements
-
Perform daily yard checks and account for all trailers and their contents
-
Keep the yard organized and safe for all pedestrians and co-workers
-
Report any trailer or tractor issues to management
-
Follow all safe driving practices
-
Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
-
Prior experience as a yard spotter or over-the-road truck driver
-
Attention to detail and focus on safety
-
Ability to sit, bend, climb, and lift for 8–12 hours per day

Willingness to work mandatory overtime
-
Strong written and oral communication skills
-
Reliable attendance
Shifts: Days, Nights, Weekends – 40+ hours per week
