Job Title: Environmental Services Technician – Full-Time - Winfield IL
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour Schedule: 40 hours/week (5x8 hour shifts) Rotation: Every other weekend required Department: Environmental Services
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Environmental Services Technician to join our healthcare team. This full-time role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Candidates with janitorial experience will be strongly considered.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and project-based cleaning tasks throughout the facility

Mop, scrub, and buff floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals

Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from designated areas

Assist with lifting and moving furniture or equipment as needed

Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and public areas

Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times

Operate floor care machines and other cleaning tools

Collaborate with team members to complete assignments efficiently

Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and support special cleaning projects
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous janitorial or environmental services experience highly desirable

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Familiarity with floor care equipment (buffers, scrubbers, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to work weekends and adapt to changing priorities

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and up-to-date seasonal flu vaccine is required
