Job Title: Building Janitor
City and State: Elgin, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
Employment Type: Full-Time, Evaluation to Hire
Summary:
Provide day-to-day general shop cleaning and upkeep, including floors, machine tools, parts, and overall organization to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general shop cleaning including floors, machine tools, parts, and work areas
- Complete trash removal, sweeping, power floor cleaning, and hand cleaning of machine tools
- Clean parts, maintain organization of shop areas, and perform outside trash pickup
- Assist with small building maintenance as needed
- Follow safety procedures and communicate issues effectively
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 1–3 years of general work experience
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
- Valid driver’s license required
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work as a team player
