Job Title: CNC Operator II
Pay Rate: $25-$30 BOE
Schedule/Shift: 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time
The CNC Operator II is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC machines. This role works with a variety of products, performs machine programming adjustments as needed, and provides guidance to less experienced CNC operators.
Responsibilities:
- Review work orders, blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine setup requirements and machining procedures.
- Install cutting tools, secure materials, edit programs, and operate CNC equipment to produce quality parts.
- Monitor machine operations, inspect completed work using precision measuring instruments, and ensure specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, resolve production errors, and communicate with supervisors or programmers when variances occur.
- Provide guidance to CNC Operator I team members and assist with advanced machining challenges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience for a CNC Operator II role.
- Experience working with CNC equipment such as HAAS or similar machining centers.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with SolidWorks, G-code, Mastercam, 2D/3D programming, and mechanical troubleshooting is highly preferred.
