Job Title: Shipper I

Pay Rate: $19.50 - $20.00/hour BOE
Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am to 5:00pm
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Shipper I to support warehouse operations by accurately preparing, packing, and shipping customer orders. This role requires experience building crates with power tools, maintaining shipping accuracy, and safely operating a forklift when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Count, verify, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in custom-built crates.
- Build and modify shipping crates using power tools such as drills, screw guns, and saws.
- Pick, stage, label, and prepare outgoing shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and perform quality checks on incoming materials.
- Operate a forklift safely as needed (approximately 5% of the role) and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience, including building crates with power tools.
- Previous forklift experience required; ability to safely operate equipment and complete inspections.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use power tools safely and effectively.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
