Job Full Description
We’re hiring for a skilled Carpenter / Furniture Maker to join a respected custom furniture shop in SW Chicago. This company specializes in handcrafted pieces, working with quality materials to deliver one-of-a-kind designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret design plans and blueprints
- Operate woodworking tools and machinery
- Assemble and finish high-end custom furniture
- Maintain clean, safe workspaces and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in carpentry or furniture making
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with hardwoods and joinery methods a plus
