We’re looking for a Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our clients team servicing department in Oak Lawn. This role focuses on protecting loan performance, ensuring investor compliance, and supporting borrowers through proactive communication and default management.
Mortgage Servicing Specialist
?? Location: Oak Lawn, IL (On-Site Only)
?? Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
?? Salary: $45,000 – $52,000 + Benefits
The Role
We’re looking for a Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our servicing department. This role focuses on protecting loan performance, ensuring investor compliance, and supporting borrowers through proactive communication and default management.
What You’ll Do

Manage delinquent accounts through borrower outreach and payment plan negotiations

Support bankruptcy, foreclosure, and loss mitigation processes

Handle mortgage insurance claims, terminations, and payments

Ensure compliance with investor servicing guidelines (Fannie Mae, FHA, VA)

Draft borrower correspondence and maintain servicing records

Assist with escrow analysis, insurance updates, and payoff processing
What They're Looking For

Experience in mortgage servicing, collections, or financial services
-
Knowledge of FNMA, FHA, and VA guidelines (preferred)

Exposure to bankruptcy/foreclosure cases (a plus)

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple timelines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Finastra experience is a plus)
