Job Opening: Overhead Crane Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Bedford Park, IL
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:50 AM – 3:20 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Position Summary
We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for lifting and moving heavy materials using overhead crane systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities

Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position steel coils, machinery, or bulk materials

Perform pre-operation inspections and report any equipment issues

Communicate effectively with riggers and ground crew using hand signals or radio

Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times

Maintain accurate records of lifts and equipment usage
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1+ years of experience operating overhead cranes preferred

Familiarity with pendant, remote, or cab controls

Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
