Our agency is currently seeking a skilled Tool Maker to support a manufacturing facility located in Bedford Park. This role involves producing, modifying, and repairing precision tools and fixtures essential to production operations.

Schedule

• Monday-THURSDAY, 6:00am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
• Operate a range of shop equipment, including:
  • Lathe
  • Mill & Milling Machine
  • EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine)
  • Drill Press
  • Surface grinders and other manual machining tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Perform high-precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot tooling issues to support production efficiency
• Document tooling changes, updates, and repair history
• Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of tool making or tool & die experience preferred
• Hands-on experience operating Lathes, Mills, EDMs, Drill Presses, and Milling Machines
• Strong blueprint reading and machining skills
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances
• Experience with CNC machining is a plus
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
