Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Machine Operator / Press Operator for a plastic manufacturing company in Bridgeview, IL. This is a hands-on production role working with press machinery to produce plastic components that meet customer specifications.
Position Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating press equipment to produce plastic components that meet customer tolerances and quality standards. This role includes basic machine operation, material handling, and inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press machines to produce plastic components
- Place plastic material into the press area and initiate the press cycle
- Spray and clean the press area as required
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer tolerance
- Trim excess material from finished products
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety and production guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Additional Information
- 90-day evaluation period
- After 90 days, employees are required to join the union
