Job Full Description
A leading restoration company specializing in water, fire, and mold damage restoration is seeking an experience Water Technician Crew Chief.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Lead a team on restoration projects involving water, fire, and mold damage, ensuring quality work and customer satisfaction
- Perform restoration tasks including water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation
- Travel to job sites and perform selective demolition as needed
- Set, monitor, and move equipment for water extraction and structural drying, including recording moisture data
- Ensure proper cleanup, sanitation, and job site completion
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the first point of contact onsite and lead by example
- Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication
- Respond to job sites and complete all work in accordance with company and industry standards
- Inspect job sites for quality control and ensure all work meets required standards
- Maintain detailed documentation including measurements, diagrams, photos, and job updates (data entry required)
- Train and mentor new technicians, helping build team skills and performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times
- Ensure work truck is clean, organized, and fully stocked for all job requirements
- Assist other departments and technicians as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond as first on-site for emergency water/fire damage calls
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of restoration experience required
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership skills and work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, safety-first environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing job conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding work
- Experience using basic hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, crowbars, etc.)
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
- Ability to complete a background check (subject to applicable law)
