A growing warehouse distributor in the Southwest Chicago area is seeking a reliable Class C Driver to make local deliveries throughout the Chicagoland area to retail stores and select restaurant customers.
This position offers consistent weekday hours, local routes, and the opportunity to be home daily.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM until route completion
- Typical finish time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Occasionally as late as 6:00 PM (rare)
- Tuesday: Early start for routes to Indianapolis or Milwaukee
- Driver must report by 3:45 AM
- Trucks depart at 4:00 AM
Position Details
- Operate a 26-foot box truck equipped with:
- Power liftgate
- Pallet jack
- Average 7–14 delivery stops per day
- Deliver products to retail stores and restaurants throughout the Chicagoland area
Responsibilities
- Verify delivery orders, quantities, and route contents before departure
- Load and unload products for daily deliveries
- Safely transport and deliver orders to customer locations
- Use the truck's liftgate and pallet jack to unload pallets at loading docks or designated delivery areas
- Bring customer orders into the designated receiving area
- Operate a company-issued tablet and mobile printer to generate customer invoices on-site
- Synchronize delivery data with the company server upon return to the warehouse
- Maintain professional customer service and safe driving practices at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
