Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Friday, 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in armored vehicle production and customization, is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join their growing production team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel, interpreting blueprints, and operating welding equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in fabricating and assembling vehicle components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision, and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble vehicle components and structural parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Grind, clean, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding.
  • Operate welding equipment and fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, defects, or quality concerns to supervision.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using measuring tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with armored vehicles, automotive fabrication, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environments is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, welding fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and welding equipment.
