Candidates must have experience operating a sit-down forklift and either a stand-up reach forklift or cherry picker (man-up order picker). Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to support warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role for individuals who have strong forklift experience, enjoy working in a team environment, and take pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift and stand-up reach forklift or cherry picker safely and efficiently.
- Pick orders, load and unload shipments, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Remove and place pallets in storage rack locations.
- Offload containers manually and palletize materials.
- Enter order fulfillment information accurately into the warehouse system.
- Use shipping software and warehouse technology for daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse standards.
Qualifications
- Current forklift certification required. Proof of certification must be provided.
- Must have experience with both:
- Sit-down forklift
- Stand-up reach forklift or cherry picker (man-up order picker)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Experience using shipping or warehouse management software preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. (most packages weigh between 30-40 lbs.).
- Ability to manually unload containers and palletize products.
- Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety.
