Inventory Coordinator (Temporary - 3 Month Assignment)
Location: Forest View, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time
Duration: Approximately 3 Months (ERP System Transition Project)
Our client is a well-established manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemical products seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to support a critical ERP system transition. This is a temporary, project-based role expected to last approximately three months.
The ideal candidate will have strong inventory control experience, be comfortable operating a forklift, and possess excellent computer skills with hands-on experience using ERP systems and barcode scanners.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records during ERP system implementation and transition.
- Perform inventory transactions, adjustments, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Utilize ERP software to enter, track, and verify inventory data.
- Operate barcode scanners to manage inventory movements and transactions.
- Support receiving, stocking, and material transfers within the warehouse.
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with system testing, data validation, and inventory audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory control, inventory coordination, or warehouse inventory management.
- Forklift operating experience required; certification preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems is required.
- Experience using RF scanners or barcode scanning equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting an ERP conversion, implementation, or system upgrade.
