Delivery Driver (Temporary Assignment)
A leading distributor of industrial products and solutions is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to support local customer deliveries throughout the Chicagoland area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and working independently.
You will operate a company-provided cargo van, deliver products to customers, and assist with loading and unloading shipments.
Location: Crestwood, IL
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to approximately 3:00 PM
- 25-30 hours per week
Duration:
- Temporary contract position for approximately 6 weeks
- Covering for an employee on medical leave
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery van
- Deliver products to customer locations throughout the day
- Complete approximately 5-20 delivery stops daily
- Load and unload products as needed
- Verify deliveries and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries
- Follow all company safety policies and traffic regulations
- Assist with warehouse and shipping duties as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally (most items weigh 5-20 lbs.)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery routes efficiently
- Previous delivery driving experience is helpful but not required
